Biography
YUSEI ABE
Yusei Abe is born in Kagawa, Japan, and moved to California at the age of eighteen. Yusei Abe is an illustrator, fine art printmaker, and graphic designer. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Art from California State University Long Beach specializing in illustration. His artwork is influenced by Japanese and European mythology, and fairy tales which he read in his childhood. His work is rich in detail, and favor to create his artwork in black and white. He uses very fine pen and ink as his favorite medium in the most of his artwork. He moves back to Japan in April 2021 and currently lives and works in Kagawa.
阿部 友生 (アベ ユウセイ)
香川県さぬき市 (旧大川郡) に生まれる。2008年に単身渡米。カリフォルニア州立大学ロングビーチ校でイラストレーション科を専攻し、ペン画 (イラストレーション)、油絵、プリントメイキングなどの基本的な制作技術を学ぶ。大学卒業後、ロサンゼルスを拠点にアーティスト活動を始める。２０１８年に自身初の個展 "Monochromanic" (モノクロマニック) を現地のGR２ギャラリーにて開催。その後多くのグループ展、２回目の個展である "MIDNIGHT" の開催を経て、２０２１年４月に日本に帰国。帰国後、自身３度目の個展 "Desert Dreaming 砂漠の夢" をロサンゼルスの同ギャラリーにて開催し、現在は西日本を中心に活動中。
